London Brow BrowFixx Instructions
BrowFixx Step-by-Step Treatment Guide
BrowFixx is a professional TGA-free brow lamination system designed to help lift, shape and set the brow hairs for a fuller, more gentle brow finish. Created for trained brow artists and salons, BrowFixx gives professionals another treatment option for clients who want a softer, more modern approach to brow lamination.
Before You Begin
Before carrying out a BrowFixx treatment, always complete a full consultation to assess the client’s natural brow condition, previous treatments, skin sensitivity and desired result.
Do not perform the treatment if the brows are damaged, brittle, over-processed, recently laminated, irritated, sunburnt or unsuitable for chemical processing.
A patch test should be carried out in line with your salon insurance, training guidelines and product instructions.
Step 1: Cleanse the Brow Area
Begin by thoroughly cleansing the brow area to remove makeup, oils, skincare and product residue.
The brows should be completely clean and dry before applying any BrowFixx solution. This helps ensure even product application and more consistent results.
Step 2: Analyse the Brow Hair
Check the client’s brow thickness, strength and natural growth direction before choosing your processing time.
As a guide:
- Fine, delicate or weak brows: 3–4 minutes
- Normal, healthy brows: 5–6 minutes
- Coarse, strong or resistant brows: 6–8 minutes
Processing times are a guide only. Always monitor the brow hairs throughout treatment and adjust accordingly if needed.
Step 3: Apply BrowFixx Step 1
Apply BrowFixx Step 1 evenly through the brows, focusing on the areas that need softening and reshaping.
Gently brush the product through the brow hairs, making sure each hair is coated without over-saturating the skin.
Cover the brows if required by your treatment method and allow Step 1 to process according to the client’s brow type.
Do not exceed the recommended processing time.
Step 4: Remove Step 1
Once the correct processing time has been reached, remove Step 1 thoroughly using a clean, dry applicator or cotton pad.
Make sure all residue is removed before moving on to the next stage.
Do not use water unless your system instructions advise it.
Step 5: Position the Brows
Gently brush the brow hairs into the desired shape.
This is where you create the final brow direction and structure, so take your time to position the hairs neatly.
Avoid forcing the brows too flat against the skin. For the most natural and premium finish, the brows should look lifted, shaped and soft rather than overly stiff or stuck down.
Step 6: Apply BrowFixx Step 2
Apply BrowFixx Step 2 evenly through the brows, following the shape created in the previous step.
Step 2 should be processed for the same amount of time as Step 1.
As a guide:
- Fine, delicate or weak brows: 3–4 minutes
- Normal, healthy brows: 5–6 minutes
- Coarse, strong or resistant brows: 6–8 minutes
This stage helps set the brow hairs into their new position.
Step 7: Remove Step 2
Once processed, carefully remove Step 2 using a clean, dry applicator or cotton pad.
Ensure the brows are completely clean and free from product residue.
Step 8: Tint, Shape or Finish the Brows
If required, you can now continue with tinting, staining, waxing, tweezing or finishing, depending on your salon method and the client’s treatment plan.
Always be mindful that brow hairs may be more sensitive after lamination, so work gently and avoid unnecessary stress on the hair or skin.
Step 9: Apply Nourishing Aftercare
Finish the treatment by applying a nourishing brow serum or aftercare product to help hydrate, condition and soften the brow hairs.
Brush the brows into their final position and show the client how to maintain the look at home.
Aftercare Advice for Clients
For the best results, clients should avoid the following for the first 24 hours after treatment:
- Water, steam and excessive sweating
- Saunas, swimming and hot showers
- Heavy makeup or skincare around the brows
- Touching, rubbing or sleeping directly on the brows
- Exfoliating products, acids or retinoids around the brow area
Clients should brush their brows daily and use a nourishing brow serum or oil to keep the hairs hydrated, soft and healthy.
Professional Note
BrowFixx is TGA-free, but it is still a professional brow lamination system. Brow hairs should always be assessed carefully before treatment, and processing times should be adjusted based on the client’s natural brow condition.
TGA-free does not mean the treatment can be over-processed. Correct timing, product placement and aftercare are essential for achieving beautiful, healthy-looking results.
